Meet Potion (A567891) Potion arrived at our shelter as a terrified stray who had no idea what was happening or who she could trust. She is the type of dog who needs a moment, and she deserves every bit of that patience. When you approach her kennel she will bark and act unfriendly, but this is simply her protecting the only space she feels secure in. Once she is outside of the kennel, she does much better. Potion is still nervous with new people, but she comes alive around other dogs. In playgroups she has shown a completely different side of herself. She runs, she plays, and sows off her friendly nature in a way that her kennel behavior would never suggest. Potion is a good girl with a tender heart who has not had an easy start. She needs a home that understands that trust takes time and that a little patience can change everything for a dog like her. Potion is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs 43 pounds. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered and given a 30 day flea/tick preventative. Ready to meet Potion?
