Rye is a 2-year-old, 56 lb bundle of sunshine, happiness, and goofy snuggles. He's the color of a perfectly cooked corndog and has a smile that will brighten even the gloomiest day. Rye's affection is shown through playful booty wiggles, two-paw hugs, and moves that resemble a marriage proposal. He's a lover boy, a goofball, and an adventure buddy all rolled into one!

Ideal Home

Rye would thrive in a home that enjoys playtime, walks, and a bit of structure. While he could do well in an apartment with sufficient exercise and enrichment, a house with a yard would be his dream come true.

Ongoing Health

Rye is healthy and will be receiving all necessary vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and a microchip.

Training & Support

Rye can get a little jumpy when excited, but he's learning that sitting earns more praise. He's eager to please and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement and leash training. He's been a polite and curious greeter to the resident cat, but a slow introduction is always recommended.

Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT.
