About TEDDY

Teddy is approximately 3.5 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. His DNA test shows him to be a mixture of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds. When he was rescued, he was a matted mess and had to be shaved down. His coat has now grown back, and he's a handsome boy who will need regular grooming. Teddy also had mature cataracts in both eyes, which were surgically corrected. After a few months of eye medication, his vision is now excellent!

Teddy loves to be a lap dog and is always excited to snuggle with his foster. He gets along with most other dogs, but can be uncomfortable around very active dogs that get in his face. He can also be possessive of his food and doesn't like to share. Because of this, we feel he would do best as an only dog or with an older, quieter companion. He is mostly house-trained, walks well on a leash, and enjoys car rides. Teddy is going to be a wonderful companion for someone special!

Ideal Home

Teddy would do best as an only dog or with an older, quieter companion. He is not suited for a home with children under the age of 8 years. He requires an experienced dog owner.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes and now has great eyesight. He will need regular grooming.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but not perfect. He can be snippy with his food and does not like sharing.
