ATHENA

Athena is a beautiful, happy, 53 lb mix breed with a bright smile and an enthusiastic spirit. This medium-energy girl is full of personality and ready to find a home that will help her realize she is an important member of a family! She has been a mom, probably more than once, but now it's her time to be the important one, loved one! Athena is good with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. She loves being active and would thrive with an adopter who can give her regular exercise and structure. Walks are one of her favorite things, though she can pull on the leash and she has a real hatred or distrust for bikes! Because our Adoption Center is on a bike path we sent her to our Sanctuary, we will work on getting her more trusting of bikes, and a rural home may be best! With consistent handling and clear guidance, she responds to correction and is capable of refocusing.

Ideal Home

Athena would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise and structure. A rural home may be best due to her distrust of bikes.

Athena is still working on her basics and is not yet housetrained or knows basic commands. She is smart and willing to learn with patience, training, and consistency. She is capable of refocusing with consistent handling and clear guidance.
