Sammy AKA Samuel

Sammy, a 2-3 year old male Great Pyrenees, is a gentle and loving soul who was found as a stray. Despite being abandoned and neglected, he has a heart full of affection. He was initially scheduled for euthanasia due to fear but was rescued and is now thriving in a foster home. Sammy is currently 89 pounds and is eating well to reach a healthy weight. He is a big, fluffy teddy bear who absolutely adores children, loves to play tug of war, and enjoys cuddling. He also walks well on a leash.

Ideal Home

Sammy would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of love and attention. We are still determining his compatibility with other dogs and cats, but we can perform tests upon request.

Ongoing Health

Sammy was emaciated when he arrived but is recovering well and gaining weight. He is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Sammy is house-trained and walks well on a leash. He is a quick learner and eager to please, making him a wonderful companion for a family.
