Meet Hudson, affectionately known as Huddy-Buddy! This sweet senior boy came to us a few weeks ago, timid and clearly having had a rough start. But with a little veterinary care, a safe place to land, and a lot of love, Hudson is blossoming into the confident, affectionate companion we knew he could be. Our rescue veterinarian discovered that Hudson's poor condition was due to 10 severely diseased teeth that were removed during a dental procedure, likely causing him a great deal of pain. She also removed a retained testicle. Now, his beautiful coat is growing back, his eyes are brighter, and he walks with newfound confidence. He's discovered the joy of soft blankets and cozy beds, and humans have quickly become his favorite thing! Hudson is a true snuggle expert, always ready to keep your lap warm or be your couch-side companion. He has gone from uncertain to actively seeking out love and affection.
Ideal Home
Hudson is around 9 years old and is looking for a quiet and predictable home where he can enjoy slow mornings and peaceful evenings with his person. He enjoys the company of other dogs as long as they respect his space and aren't overly pushy.
Ongoing Health
Hudson's dental work means he will need to stay on soft food moving forward. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Hudson has shown a wonderful capacity to trust and bond. He is a seasoned snuggler and will thrive with gentle affection and a stable routine.
