Otis is an approximately 3-year-old, 57 lb bundle of quiet affection and thoughtful charm. He’s a handsome boy with a perfectly charming underbite and an even sweeter heart. Otis is a sensitive soul who thrives on genuine connection, offering a loyalty and intuition that feels truly special. He’s happiest in a calm, steady environment and approaches the world with a gentle caution, but once he feels safe, his true loving nature shines through. He's a dog who truly notices and cares, making him a deeply rewarding companion.
Ideal Home
Otis would thrive in a home that appreciates sensitive dogs and offers patience as he builds trust. He is not looking for a high-energy lifestyle or constant social interactions. He prefers calm environments and predictable routines. He has shown to be gentle and relaxed around cats, making him a potential companion for a calm or dog-savvy feline. While he prefers calm, confident female dogs, he is generally aloof and submissive with other dogs, avoiding conflict around food or toys.
Ongoing Health
Otis has no current health concerns mentioned.
Training & Support
Otis is house-trained, crate-trained, and settles beautifully indoors. He walks well on a leash and enjoys peaceful strolls. When meeting new people, especially men, Otis needs time and gentle introductions, as he can become overwhelmed by too much attention too quickly. He communicates discomfort by creating space and is not confrontational. He is a "slow-burn" dog who bonds deeply and quietly once he feels safe and understood.
