Meet Lucky and Piper!
These two loyal boys are a quiet, steady reminder that some friendships are simply meant to last a lifetime. Often found resting side by side, they move through each day with a comforting rhythm that speaks of years spent together. Keeping them as a pair offers emotional continuity and preserves the companionship that helps them both feel secure.
Lucky is the devoted shadow dog of the duo, an American Pitbull Terrier mix who wants nothing more than to be near his person. He is seven years old and weighs 55 pounds. Once he trusts you, he gives you everything! He will sit right in front of you, tail wagging, looking straight up at you, and in that moment, you know you have his whole heart. He knows sit, come, whistle recall, and shake, and he thrives with positive reinforcement and treat-based learning. Piper is the steady, gentle soul of the pair, a twelve-year-old Hound mix weighing 68 pounds and turning thirteen in May. He moves through the world with a quiet ease that makes everyone around him feel calm. Easygoing and friendly with dogs, children, cats, and people, Piper is truly a gift! He appreciates soft beds, predictable routines, and peaceful moments shared with those he loves. Lucky has been a devoted companion through one of the hardest seasons of his caregiver’s life. He is not a difficult dog. He is a dog who loves deeply and needs to feel safe first. Give him time and space, and he will reward you with rare loyalty! Piper brings warmth and gratitude to every quiet moment.
Ideal Home
Lucky and Piper need a new loving home with a securely fenced yard. Lucky needs a home without cats, birds, or small animals due to his strong prey drive. Lucky does best with a patient, experienced guardian who understands that he needs to come to you, not the other way around. Ideally, a woman or female-led household, as he has naturally warmed to women in his life.
Ongoing Health
Lucky requires daily medication to manage anxiety during severe weather and fireworks. Both dogs are microchipped, current on parasite prevention, and scheduled for routine veterinary care later this year.
Training & Support
Lucky knows sit, come, whistle recall, and shake, and he thrives with positive reinforcement and treat-based learning. Lucky cannot be picked up and needs ramp or step access for vehicles.

Transporation
