Coraline

Coraline is a delightful 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix, currently weighing 45 lbs and expected to reach 85-90 lbs full grown. She's a perfect blend of sweet, curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining, guaranteed to keep her family laughing with her quirky charm. Coraline’s favorite game is peek-a-boo, and her excited zoomies upon being discovered are irresistible. She's deeply people-oriented, happily following her humans around and showing affection with gentle puppy kisses and a paw or nose rest. Coraline possesses a remarkably calm and balanced temperament, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. She's content to entertain herself quietly but also loves to be included. She's incredibly social with people and other dogs, greeting new friends with a calm demeanor before resuming play. Coraline is the ultimate sidekick – playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive.

Ideal Home

Coraline would thrive in a home that embraces both adventure and relaxation, enjoying leisurely walks, cozy evenings, and everything in between. She'll be happiest when included in her family's daily routine, whether it's short neighborhood strolls or longer hikes. She would benefit from a family that understands she can be a little nervous in busy public areas but is eager to become an outdoor adventure buddy with more socialization. She adores outdoor adventures and equally cherishes quiet time at home. A fenced yard is a must for her to run and play safely. Coraline needs to have her human home most of the time but would also do well with occasional doggy daycare. She requires a home with another friendly, confident dog, as she truly thrives with canine companionship. Older children and cats would also fit well into her new family, provided the cats are dog-friendly. No apartments or condos due to potential noise sensitivity. Public dog parks are not recommended for Coraline.

Ongoing Health

Coraline is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and any necessary vet care while in rescue.

Training & Support

Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained, sleeping soundly in her kennel at night but also enjoying sleeping in a cozy bed. She has started leash training and is treat-motivated to walk by your side, though she will need additional practice to build confidence on walks. She’s also learning to use a doggy door for potty breaks and alerts her foster to go outside by pacing at the door. A consistent potty schedule of every 3-4 hours is recommended initially, and a doggy doorbell could be helpful if a doggy door isn't available.

• Adoption fee is $650, which includes a $400 adoption fee and a $250 transport fee.
• The adoption fee covers vaccinations, spay, microchip, prevention, health certificate, and necessary vet care.
• The transport fee covers transportation from her foster home to her forever home.

Transportation

Coraline is currently in a foster home in Central Texas. She can be adopted and transported to various locations. Adoptive families will need to meet the transport to pick up their new family member. Please note that dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to transport, and meet-and-greets are not possible due to transport distance.
