Mickey, Adorable Guy

Meet Mickey, an adorable guy who's estimated to be around 10 years old! He came to us as a stray and was in need of a good groom. After a much-needed shave down during his neuter surgery, he's feeling like a brand new dog! Mickey is a friendly little fellow who absolutely loves attention and has a good amount of energy for his size. He enjoys being around people and gets along well with other dogs. He's also non-reactive towards cats! Mickey is a happy guy who deserves a loving home to call his own.

Ideal Home

Mickey can get a little ornery when being moved around, so we think he would do best in a home with children 12 years old or older.

Ongoing Health

Mickey had a Perineal Hernia that required surgery, and he did very well! He has been cleared for adoption. To help with digestion, we recommend adding a little Miralax to his food to keep his stool soft and easy to pass. He's perfectly happy eating his dry food mixed with a little water. Mickey also had a dental procedure where many teeth were removed. We haven't seen any complications since his surgery. We also recommend providing steps for him to get up and down from furniture, as he can injure himself when attempting to jump. His fur grows back slowly, so Mickey will need regular professional grooming.

Mickey may need guidance on how to navigate furniture safely.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID.
• If you rent or live in a condo, we require written permission from your landlord or housing association to have pets. If you own your home, proof of ownership is required.
• If you have other pets, they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If you have another dog, a meet-and-greet will be required at our shelter.
• All children in the home must meet Mickey before adoption.
• An approved application does not guarantee an adoption, and we do not hold animals.

Transporation

Mickey is currently located at our shelter. We can discuss transportation options with approved adopters.
