Mavis

Mavis is a gentle and friendly girl who was born around February 2024. She came to us when her elderly owner was evicted from her home. Despite this upheaval, Mavis has remained sweet-natured and affectionate with people. She enjoys attention and thrives when she's near her humans. While she can be a bit reserved with unfamiliar dogs at first, she might do well as an only dog, or with slow, guided introductions to a resident dog. Mavis is learning to walk on a leash and is doing great in a crate. She needs a calm environment and a little patience to feel secure, but once she settles in, her deep loyalty and loving bond will shine through. If you're looking for a companion whose love grows stronger over time, Mavis might be your perfect match.

Ideal Home

Mavis would do well as an only dog, or with another dog in the home provided introductions are slow and thoughtful. She needs a calm environment to help her feel secure. Visible fencing is required.

Ongoing Health

All necessary veterinary care, including spay, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, and deworming, has been completed.

Training & Support

Mavis is learning to walk on a leash and is doing great in a crate. She may need some patience as she adjusts to a new environment and builds trust.

Transporation

We have monthly transports to the Northeast, Northwest, Midwest, and Southeast. Transport costs are additional and vary by location. Mavis is currently located in Texas.
