Are you ready to spice up your life? Then I'm your girl! My name is Ginger, and it's fitting in many ways. I have beautiful, soft, gingery fur, and I'm a little ginger spicy! I'm an active puppy who's still learning my manners and always testing the bounds of right vs. wrong. My favorite pastimes are playing fetch, wrestling with my Dachshund friend, and trying to catch that pesky water hose stream. I love to play with other dogs and would do best with ones who are tolerant and accepting of my energy. I'm also a super snuggler in between zoom sessions, so kids would be just fine too! I even grew up around cats and chickens, but I like to bark and pounce at them to play, play, play! Continued positive reinforcement and redirection should help keep my herding instincts at bay with smaller animals. I am a very smart girl and highly food-motivated, so I learn quickly. My foster mom is working on some fun tricks, and I've mastered crate training. I'm also doing well with house training and usually only have accidents overnight, thanks to my small puppy bladder. I am so ready for my fur-ever home and a family to spice things up with!
Ideal Home
I would thrive in an active home with a family that understands I'm still learning my manners. I do well with other dogs and children, but my herding instincts with smaller animals like cats and chickens will need continued positive reinforcement and redirection.
Ongoing Health
I am a puppy with a small bladder, so I may have occasional accidents overnight. Otherwise, I am healthy and up-to-date on my vaccinations.
Training & Support
I am very smart and food-motivated, making me a quick learner! I have mastered crate training and am doing well with house training. Continued positive reinforcement and redirection will be key for me to learn how to interact appropriately with smaller animals.
