Yeti is a magnificent snow monster with a heart overflowing with warmth and love! He was rescued just moments before euthanasia and has been patiently waiting for his forever home for three years. Yeti has a wonderful personality; he loves to zoom around the yard, but he's also a champion couch potato! He's fantastic at entertaining himself and doesn't need constant supervision or play from you. He particularly enjoys his flirt pole, a fun toy that keeps him engaged.
Ideal Home
Yeti is wonderful with older children who can appreciate his affectionate nature. While he is gentle with all kids, he can be a bit too enthusiastic and jumpy for very young ones. He has made many dog friends in the past and enjoys their company, but he requires very slow and careful introductions to new canine companions, as he can be reactive initially.
Ongoing Health
Yeti has a sensitive stomach and needs to drink water from a raised dish at room temperature. He should have water offered in small amounts at a time to prevent him from gulping it down too quickly and vomiting. He eats his food well and does not typically vomit after meals. Yeti has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on all his vaccinations.
Training & Support
Yeti has made great progress with his training, especially regarding his reactivity to other dogs, but he will need continued support in his forever home. He is treat-motivated and loves a peanut butter Kong! Yeti is crate trained and sees his crate as a safe and comfortable den, perfect for meal times and overnight. Better World Rescue dogs are eligible for continued training support at no cost to the adopter, including both group training and private classes.
