Frostine is an 11-month-old white German Shepherd who came into our care under heartbreaking circumstances. She was underweight, frightened, and unfamiliar with even the most basic parts of daily life. Despite everything she's endured, her spirit remains gentle. She has never shown aggression, only uncertainty and quiet curiosity as she begins to learn that the world can be safe. Frostine is experiencing many "firsts" right now, including her first walks outside, her first moments of fresh air, and her first experiences with kind, patient human touch. While she is understandably timid, she is already showing signs of trust, accepting soft pets and taking treats with remarkable gentleness.
During her time with us, Frostine has absolutely blossomed and has come the furthest out of all of her siblings. The scared little dog she once was has slowly made room for a goofy, gangly, toy-obsessed whirlwind that seems to operate on equal parts happiness and chaos. This girl is READY TO PLAY! She loves toys, and wrestling and zooming around the yard with other dogs. She experiences random bursts of energy where all four legs seem to have different plans. Frostine is still learning that the world isn't quite as scary as she once thought. New things can sometimes spook her and remind us of where she came from, but what makes Frostine so special is that she keeps choosing bravery anyway. She bounces back quickly, keeps moving forward, and approaches life with a "let's see what happens!" attitude. She is smart, playful, goofy, and so much fun to watch. She's the kind of dog who can make you laugh without even trying.
