EWA- Needs a forever home!

Little Ewa is a sweet Shih Tzu who came to us in rough shape. She was matted, had a raw neck from a flea collar, and was underweight. After some much-needed grooming, we discovered she had an inguinal hernia and some sores on her body. Thanks to her loving foster home, Ewa has gained weight and is healing wonderfully! She loves to run and play, and she's also very cuddly and enjoys being held. Ewa has a lot of love to give and is eager to find a family to spoil her for the rest of her life!

Ideal Home

Ewa needs a home where she will NOT be crated, as she has a strong aversion to them. A consistent routine will help her build confidence and trust. She requires a physically fenced yard for safe play and exercise. She is dog-social, but her compatibility with cats is unknown. Children aged 7 and older are recommended. She is not fond of car rides.

Ongoing Health

Ewa had an inguinal hernia that was successfully repaired at the time of her spay. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and on monthly heartworm preventative.

Training & Support

Ewa is house-trained. She was crated extensively by her previous owners, so she needs a home that will support her need to avoid crating and help her build confidence.

• All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same-day adoptions.
• A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and to ensure compatibility with your current pet(s).
• Dogs over 1 year of age are required to attend a 6-week obedience class outside the home.
• Adoption Fee: $350

Ewa is located in Birmingham, MI. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI, to adopt her.
