Selena

Selena is a 3-year-old black lab mix who was found as a stray near a busy freeway in Houston, TX. She and another dog had reportedly been surviving on their own for weeks. Selena readily accepted help and leash, showing her desire for safety. She's now in a foster home and is ready to find her forever family. Selena is described as a future "soul dog" – a truly special companion who will be cherished for a lifetime.

Ideal Home

Selena is a go-with-the-flow dog who matches the energy of her surroundings. She loves being outdoors and enjoys walks but doesn't require constant stimulation. She's content napping on the couch and is happy with a walk or a short play session.

Ongoing Health

Selena is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.

Training & Support

Selena is remarkably potty trained and hasn't had any accidents since arriving from the streets. She is also crate trained and can be left to free roam. She is a quick learner, mastering stairs, doors, couches, and water bowl turns with little guidance. Selena can be timid when meeting new people but is always gentle and never shows fear aggression or reactivity; she simply needs a moment to warm up before showering her new person with affection.
