A little about them
Meet Bentley, a handsome, playful, and affectionate 8-month-old Boxer/Black Mouth Cur mix. Rescued from life on the streets with his littermates, Bentley loves toys, carries squeaky toys or balls everywhere, and enjoys bones and cuddles after playtime.
Ideal Home
Bentley is social and affectionate with his foster family and their five dogs, but he may need time to acclimate to new dogs. He has shown stranger danger at the vet and during dog introductions, so introductions to future human and animal family members are recommended before adoption. A patient family with a fenced yard is required, and adopters must live within one hour of Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue.
Ongoing Health
Bentley is microchipped, dewormed, started on heartworm and flea prevention, and will be adopted with current, age-appropriate vaccines.
Training & Support
Bentley is crate trained and housebroken. He is food motivated, doing well on leash with his training collar, and responds to people’s cues and correction. Continued training will help strengthen his bond with his family.
