Millie

Meet Millie! This determined and full-of-heart girl is around 10 months old and weighs about 26 lbs. We think she might be a Corgi/Shiba Inu mix, or perhaps just a purebred adorable. Millie hasn't had the easiest start in life; she was found as a tiny puppy with her siblings, but later reappeared alone and badly injured, dragging her back end and relying only on her front legs. After about six months of injury, she finally received veterinary care. Her vet believes her injury is old and untreatable, but Millie is incredibly resilient! She walks in a crouched position and is perfectly capable of holding her bowel movements and going potty outside. Despite her past, Millie is incredibly soft, gentle, and so deserving of a loving home. She is very shy and will need a couple of weeks to warm up to her new humans, but we promise she is absolutely worth the wait. Millie is great with other dogs and cats, and enjoys playing with her canine friends. She is kennel trained and potty trained.

Ideal Home

Millie would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard, where she can feel safe and secure.

Ongoing Health

Millie is current on all her vaccines and is on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. She is heartworm positive but is currently undergoing treatment. She will be spayed and microchipped before adoption.

Training & Support

Millie is already kennel trained and potty trained. She is shy and will need a patient family to help her feel comfortable and build trust over a few weeks.

Transportation

Millie is currently in a foster home in Arkansas. She can be transported to other states, with an additional fee applying for out-of-state adoptions facilitated by a transport company.
