Meet Bart! This sweet 1-year-old Blackmouth Cur mix is a true testament to resilience and love. Bart had an unfortunate accident that required the amputation of a rear leg, and his previous family could no longer care for him. Now, he's with us at Mikey's Chance, ready to find his forever home. Bart is a master of snuggles, though he sometimes forgets his own size when he's giving affection! His favorite thing is being close to his people, so if you're looking for a companion who will be by your side through thick and thin, Bart is your boy. He doesn't let his three legs slow him down one bit – he loves exploring outdoors, enjoying leisurely walks, and lounging in the yard. Bart gets along well with other dogs, provided they are on the submissive side. However, we don't recommend him for homes with cats.

Ideal Home

Bart's ideal home would have minimal to no stairs to reduce stress on his remaining legs. We also suggest that any children in the home be over the age of 5, as they will be better able to understand and respect a dog's needs. A securely fenced yard is a must for Bart to safely explore and enjoy his surroundings.

Ongoing Health

Bart has undergone a rear leg amputation.

Training & Support

Bart is crate trained and housebroken. He's a wonderful snuggle companion and will never leave you feeling alone.
