Genny is a delightful 3-year-old Doberman/Husky mix with a heart as big as her spirit. She was found in a tough situation, starving and battling salmon poisoning while bravely caring for her 11 puppies on the Yakama Reservation. Against all odds, Genny is now a healthy 45 lbs (she was only 32 when found!) and her pups have found their forever homes. Now, it's her turn to find a loving family to shower with affection. Genny is as sweet as pie, gentle, silly, and always polite. She adores snuggling, has excellent house manners, and is crate trained. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is comfortable around cats and children. While a little shy at first, she blossoms once she feels safe and gets to know you. She's still working on learning new tricks and perfecting her leash walking, but she absolutely LOVES going for hikes in the woods! Genny is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations.
Ideal Home
Genny would thrive in an active home with an easygoing canine companion. Her humans should be home more often than not to give her the attention she deserves. A securely fenced yard, at least 6 feet high, is required for her safety and enjoyment.
Ongoing Health
Genny is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She has fully recovered from her previous health struggles.
Training & Support
Genny is still learning new tricks and how to walk politely on a leash. She would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and consistent training. Her love for hiking is a great way to channel her energy!
