Meet Precious! This gorgeous 6-year-old, 5.5-pound black Pomeranian is a sweet soul who is learning to trust and feel safe. She was found as a stray near the Mexico border, and it's evident that her past wasn't always kind. While she's still a bit cautious about being picked up or handled, Precious is making wonderful progress every day, discovering that people can be gentle, patient, and loving.

Ideal Home

Precious would thrive in a home that allows her to build trust at her own pace. While she doesn't necessarily need a "calm home" (she's doing great with 9 dogs and 2 cats in her foster home!), we recommend a home without young children, as she can become frightened if she's rushed. She is not aggressive, but she truly needs a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time.

Training & Support

Precious is housebroken and sleeps through the night. She gets along beautifully with all the dogs and cats she meets in her foster home.
