BRONY

Brony is a 3-year-old, 67-pound Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix with a whole lot of love to give! He was found as a stray in Camarillo and has been waiting for his person since July 2025. Brony is a FUN dog with the best smile and a playful, bouncy nature. He loves to snuggle, enjoys zoomies around the yard, and readily accepts petting with a wagging tail. He's friendly with other dogs and has even been kenneled with another large dog in the past.

Ideal Home

Brony would love a home with space to roam and a comfy couch for snuggles. He is not a good fit for a home with young children due to observed resource guarding behaviors, lunging at a child, and nipping at boots/pants. He also had conflicts with the other dog in his previous home, so a home without other dogs may be best.

Ongoing Health

Brony is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Brony is currently working on resource guarding behaviors. Volunteers are assisting him at the shelter, but he will likely need continued training and management from his adopter to help him overcome these challenges.
