He is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and maintained on heartworm prevention. Odin is the kind of dog who loves having a job. He's happiest when he's both physically and mentally engaged, whether that's hiking, swimming, chasing a tennis ball, exploring new places, or learning something new. He's incredibly smart, picks up training quickly, and has even enjoyed agility work. He would thrive with an active family or someone interested in continuing training, dog sports, or even giving him a job to do on a farm or acreage. He is house trained and crate trained, and enjoys having a predictable routine. While he is comfortable in a crate, he does best when he's not crated for long stretches and can spend plenty of time with his people. Odin currently lives with high-energy cats that rule the house and does well with them. He also enjoys playing with other dogs and has done well with most canine friends. He is being rehomed because he and the other resident dog have developed "littermate syndrome" and are no longer getting along. Outside of that relationship, Odin has continued to enjoy dog playdates and social time with other dogs. Odin is looking for a home that understands the needs of an intelligent, active dog and is ready to include him in everyday adventures.
