Meet Ollie! This approximately 5-year-old, 10-pound handsome boy came to his current family as an injured stray in 2022. After healing from a broken foot, he settled in nicely. While he's a sweet companion, his owners feel he would thrive best in a home without children due to some of his behaviors and a new baby in the home.
Ollie is fully house-trained, though he may occasionally mark if left unattended. He loves his crate and is happiest when cuddling, basking in the sun, or playing with his favorite stuffed animals. He's not a fan of thunder or fireworks and will usually hide under the couch when they occur.
Ideal Home
Ollie would do best as the only pet in a home with no children. He needs a confident, calm owner who is comfortable setting boundaries and can provide a structured, safe environment.
Ongoing Health
Ollie is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Training & Support
Ollie can be reactive, especially if startled when sleeping on your lap, or if he's guarding a sock or treat. He may growl or nip in these situations, so he needs a gentle heads-up before being moved and respectful space when enjoying his goodies. He also has a strong personality and can quickly switch from affectionate to wanting his space, letting you know with a growl. He can be protective of the door when strangers arrive, but calms down if visitors ignore him initially. Once he's met someone, he remembers them well. He may also react if you try to close his crate door while he's settled inside. Ollie knows several basic commands and listens well once he trusts you.
