About July

July is an 8-year-old, spayed female Pitbull who weighs 59 pounds. She's a sweet, affectionate girl with a heart as big as her adorable smile, and she's happiest when she's curled up beside her favorite people. July has a moderate energy level, enjoying a couple of walks each day and playing with toys, but she's also happy to settle in for cuddle time. She was rescued from euthanasia at a county shelter in Houston, Texas, and has lived in both apartment and house settings. July makes every day brighter with her loving nature and happy zoomies, even if her run is a little goofy!

Ideal Home

July would thrive in almost any home, whether it's an apartment or a house, as long as she has people to love and a cozy spot to snuggle. While she's generally gentle and loving, supervised play with very young children is recommended due to her size and enthusiasm during zoomies. She has done well with another dog and would likely enjoy a canine companion, but she's also content being the only pet. She hasn't been tested with cats.

Ongoing Health

July is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

July is fully house-trained with no accidents and is comfortable in her crate. She is generally non-destructive but may occasionally sneak off with an unattended sandal, so keeping shoes picked up is a good idea. She is eager to please and responds well to guidance. Continued leash training would be beneficial.
