Meet Zoey! She's a beautiful American Akita who is looking for an experienced owner who understands her breed. Zoey is a special girl who takes time to warm up to people. She's not one for immediate affection or belly rubs; instead, she prefers that her space be respected initially. However, with consistent care, such as feeding, providing fresh water, and daily walks, you'll earn a special place in her heart.

Zoey and another dog, Zeke, were unfortunately abandoned by backyard breeders at a kill shelter in North Carolina. Despite her past, we believe Zoey has the potential to be a wonderful, loving, and protective companion for the right person.

Ideal Home

An experienced owner familiar with the American Akita breed is a must.
