Cookie is a gentle and loving Labrador mix with a sweet, loyal nature. She is a wonderful companion who enjoys being close to her people and brings calm, comforting energy to those around her. She gets along well with other dogs and children, making her an excellent family dog. Cookie can be a little nervous at times, especially in new situations, but with patience and kindness, she settles in and shows her trusting heart. One of her favorite things is looking out the window, and she's especially happy watching the world go by during car rides or quiet moments at home. Despite a harsh beginning, born during freezing temperatures underneath a ruined house, Cookie has grown into a resilient and loving dog ready for a safe, warm, and forever home.
Ideal Home
We are looking for a home with a fenced backyard, where Cookie can safely explore and run. An active family that enjoys outdoor activities would be a great fit. Applicants should have an open conscience about the needs of rescued street animals and understand their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Cookie has completed her spay/neuter surgery, received DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines, and has been dewormed. She has a negative heartworm test and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Cookie is not yet house-trained. Our rescue is dedicated to rehabilitating the health and emotional well-being of our animals, and while we provide extensive care, house-training each pet is not feasible due to the number of animals in our foster program. We invest significant time and resources into their physical and emotional recovery and seek families who can continue this support.

Transportation
Cookie is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
