Ivy

Ivy is a lovely, sweet, and affectionate 4-5 year old Hound Mix who weighs around 40 lbs. She was a devoted momma to her puppies and has now raised them, making her ready to find her own loving forever home where she can be spoiled! Ivy is not much of a barker, is well crate trained, and enjoys the company of other dogs, especially her foster friends Violet, Carter, and Bubba. She has a low to medium energy level and loves to play. Ivy prefers a calmer environment and can be a bit nervous with city living, though she might do well in a suburban apartment. In her past, she may have experienced rough handling, as she can cower if a hand is raised too quickly, but with consistent love and attention, she has a great temperament and will make a wonderful companion. She also enjoys playing and splashing in shallow water!

Ideal Home

Ivy prefers a calmer environment and may not be suited for bustling city living. A home that can provide a quiet and stable atmosphere would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Ivy was heartworm positive but has been successfully treated and has fully recovered. She is now healthy and happy!

Training & Support

Ivy will need a refresher in house-training. We strongly recommend enrolling Ivy in obedience training to help her transition smoothly into your home, ensure she remains well-socialized, and to strengthen the bond between you.
