Tengu

Meet Tengu! This playful 10-month-old boy is absolutely crazy for toys and is a funny lovebug once he gets to know you. He was rescued by our friends at Pawfect Life Rescue and is looking for a forever family to help him see the world isn't so scary. Tengu is doing great with the other dogs in his foster home, and he seems to adjust by mimicking their behavior. If they're okay with something, he's much more willing to accept it, which is why a compatible canine pal must be part of his adoption. While Tengu does well with a 6-year-old, he gets nervous when little friends visit, so he'll have a much better chance at success in a home without children.

Ideal Home

A home with a compatible canine pal is a must for Tengu, as he learns by example from other dogs. He also needs a home without children, as he gets nervous around little visitors. A fenced yard is preferred, as the enclosed space gives him a sense of security.

Ongoing Health

Tengu is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Tengu has started leash training and would benefit from an adopter with experience who can continue working with him to reduce his triggers, preferably with a professional. Training support may be available for an adopter. Tengu thrives on structure, a routine, and loving kindness, which will help him build confidence.
