Himari

Himari is a sweet and affectionate 10-month-old terrier mix, weighing around 22 lbs and expected to reach about 33 lbs. She was born at the shelter after her pregnant mother was rescued. Himari is learning to trust and can be a little shy with new people, but she is playful, loving, and enjoys running with her dog friends. She's a "perfectly imperfect" rescue pup who needs a chance to shine!

Ideal Home

We're looking for a family with an open heart and mind to the unique needs of rescue animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued. Patience and tolerance are a must, as Himari is still adjusting and learning. She is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Himari has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and rabies vaccinations, Bordetella vaccine, and deworming. She is microchipped and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are provided.

Training & Support

Himari is not house-trained and will require ongoing patience and consistency in this area. She is learning to trust, so continued positive reinforcement and gentle guidance will help her blossom.

Transportation

Himari is currently fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transport is available for an additional fee.
