Agatha

Agatha is a bright, loving, and energetic one-year-old Labrador mix who weighs 55lbs. She was surrendered due to an injury that required two surgeries to repair and remove hardware from her front leg. Agatha is currently on an activity restriction but is expected to be back to normal and ready for adoption in mid-January. She is a quick learner, eager to please, and highly food-motivated, making her a joy to train. Agatha is also house-trained and crate-trained. She enjoys playing fetch and has seemingly endless energy for adventures. While she is generally healthy, she is still learning and needs patience as she adjusts to new environments. Agatha is also a vocal dog who will alert to things she hears and sees. She currently lives with other dogs and is an overly joyous puppy, but she can be too much for them as she is still learning appropriate play.

Ideal Home

Agatha would thrive in a home with adult-only occupants and owners with previous dog experience. She needs a patient home that can help her learn appropriate play with other dogs as she can be overly excited and playful.

Ongoing Health

Agatha underwent surgery for a fractured front leg in September and had hardware removed in December. Her medical recovery is expected to be complete by mid-January.

Training & Support

Agatha is eager to please and learns quickly, especially with treats and praise. She is a vocal dog and will alert to her surroundings. She needs guidance in learning appropriate play with other dogs due to her current overexcitement.
