Krockett

Krockett is a delightful male Labrador mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing around 55 lbs. He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Krockett is known for his happy and smiling demeanor, showing great loyalty, politeness, and intelligence. He's always ready for playtime and brings a joyful, funny, and energetic spirit. Krockett is already crate and leash trained, and he enjoys car rides, making him a well-behaved companion for adventures.

Ideal Home

Krockett would thrive in an active household that loves the outdoors. He needs a home with a fenced backyard and owners who understand and are patient with the needs and potential behaviors of rescued animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, as is a high tolerance and patience for a rescued pup still learning the ropes.

Ongoing Health

Krockett has completed his spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, and deworming. He has tested negative for heartworm and received a health certificate. His vaccination booklet is up to date.

Training & Support

While Krockett is crate and leash trained, he is not yet house-trained. The rescue understands that house-training every foster pet is a significant undertaking given their resources, and they are looking for adopters who can continue this training with patience and consistency.

• A phone or email interview will be scheduled after your application is reviewed.
• A home check, which can be virtual, will be conducted to ensure your home is a suitable environment.
• A virtual meet-and-greet will be arranged to allow you to meet Krockett and for us to see your home environment and meet all family members.
• If all parties agree it's a good fit, an adoption contract will be provided, including a trial adoption period with clear instructions for integration.

Transportation

Krockett is currently in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest for his adoption.
