Meet Charlie, a 3-year-old, 17-pound French Poodle mix who is as sweet and cuddly as they come! Charlie recently made the journey from Mexico and is settling in wonderfully. He was surrendered to a shelter there by a previous owner and is now eagerly searching for his forever family. His foster parents describe him as adorable, calm, affectionate, and incredibly loving. Charlie adores being petted and will gently nudge you when he's ready for more attention. He might be a little shy when first meeting new people, but it doesn't take long for his warm, by-your-side personality to shine through, especially when belly rubs and cuddles are involved.
Ideal Home
Charlie gets along beautifully with other dogs and is currently fostered with two canine pals. He's also wonderful with people and children, making him a fantastic family dog. His easygoing nature could even make him a great first-time dog owner's companion. He would be happiest with a family member who is home most of the time. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful, but it's not a dealbreaker; if there's no fence, he'll just need to be kept on a leash when outside. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, he doesn't require a canine sibling to be happy. He has not been tested with cats. Please note, we are unable to adopt to households with children under the age of 8 due to insurance stipulations.
Ongoing Health
Charlie is a healthy boy! Our veterinarian has confirmed he is in great condition. He is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Charlie is a good walker and thoroughly enjoys his daily strolls, walking nicely on leash without reactivity towards other dogs or people. His house training is progressing well, with only an occasional accident as he adjusts to his new environment. As a poodle mix, he has minimal shedding.
