Ikota

Meet Ikota! She's a 14-week-old Basenji/JRT mix who weighs approximately 31 pounds. Ikota was found as a stray in Tennessee, but she's now getting ready to find her forever home in New England! She doesn't howl like a typical Basenji, but she does "talk" and has a unique vocalization that her foster mom loves. Ikota is a spunky and sweet little girl who has already charmed her older foster brothers. She's a neat and tidy pup who even comforted a senior dog during a thunderstorm. Ikota is a heart-stealer with her friendly demeanor and loves to play with toys. When she's not playing, she's a perfect couch companion for cuddles.

Ideal Home

Ikota would thrive in a loving home where she can have a canine sibling. While she hasn't met cats or children yet, her friendly and playful attitude makes us believe she'd be wonderful with kids.

Ongoing Health

Ikota is up to date on vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered at the time of adoption.

Training & Support

Ikota has mastered crate, leash, and potty training and is learning good doggie manners. All dogs adopted through Wags require professional training to become the best family members they can be.

Transportation
