Lucky

Lucky is an approximately 1-year-old male, weighing 8 pounds and expected to reach around 10 pounds. He's a smart, affectionate boy who is blossoming after a difficult start as a stray. Lucky is fully potty trained, walks wonderfully on a leash, and knows how to sit. He makes great eye contact, enjoys interacting with his people, and learns quickly. He plays well with other dogs after proper introductions and can easily be redirected from nipping with a toy. Lucky has so much potential and is eager to bond with his forever family.

Lucky would do best with adopters committed to ongoing basic training and consistency to help him build confidence.

Lucky will require regular grooming to maintain his handsome coat.

Training & Support

Lucky can be reactive to unfamiliar dogs and would benefit from continued socialization and obedience training. He gets anxious in a crate and may bark, but with patience and positive training, this should improve. He also exhibits some food and high-value treat guarding, which his new family should be prepared to work on with positive reinforcement. Like many young dogs, he can be a little mouthy during play but redirects well to a toy.
