Sandy, a delightful 1-year-old spayed female, is bursting with gratitude and joy after being saved from a shelter. She's a playful, affectionate, and curious pup who's eager to explore the world. Sandy has a few small, healed spots of hair loss on her back from old injuries, suspected to be from past abuse, but these do not cause her any pain and are simply signs of her resilience.
Ideal Home
Sandy would thrive in an active home where her boundless energy can be channeled through walks, playtime, and training. She absolutely adores children but would do best with older kids (around 7+) and adults who are steady on their feet, as she can be enthusiastic and occasionally jumpy. Due to a strong prey drive, she is not suited for a home with cats. A balanced and tolerant canine companion in the 50-75 lb range would be a wonderful addition to her life, as she loves playing with other dogs.
Ongoing Health
Sandy's old injuries have healed completely and do not cause her any pain. She is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and has been spayed.
Training & Support
Sandy is house-trained and sleeps soundly in her crate overnight with no accidents. She is also not prone to resource guarding with food or toys. While she walks well on leash, she can get excited by moving objects like scooters, and continued positive reinforcement training will help her become an excellent walking partner. She is still learning her manners and can be mouthy like a puppy, but she responds well to gentle correction and is improving daily. Continued leash work and basic command training will help her blossom into her best self.
