Maya is a loving, intelligent, obedient, and playful girl! This approximately 1-year-old, 30 lb Labrador Creole mix is a bundle of energy and affection. She's a social butterfly who enjoys the company of people, children, and other dogs, and she absolutely loves to play, go for walks, and run. Maya can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but a little affection and she'll melt right into your arms. She is also dog and cat friendly! Maya is described as very affectionate, docile, playful, and loyal. She is joyful and funny, and her crate and leash are trained. Maya was rescued in March 2024 with her six siblings, found in a field on the day she was born.
Ideal Home
Maya would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active families that enjoy outdoor activities. She does best with families who have an open conscience about rescuing street animals, understanding their need for protection and education, and who have experience with dog behavior and training. Patience and high tolerance are a must for this rescued puppy. Please note, Maya is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Maya has completed a comprehensive health protocol. She is spayed/neutered and has received two DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, and a Bordetella vaccine. She has also been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Maya is crate and leash trained. However, she is not house-trained, which will require patience and consistent effort from her new family. It's important to remember that rescued dogs may have been traumatized and may need an adjustment period. Patience and understanding are crucial for her to decompress and integrate into her new home.
