Meet Honey!
Honey is a 4-year-old, 65-pound sweetheart who is ready to find her forever family. This friendly girl loves people and is happiest when she's making new friends, getting pets, and going on walks. She has a social, affectionate personality and truly enjoys being part of the action. Honey arrived from our partner shelter in Oklahoma and tested positive for Heartworm. The good news is that Heartworm treatment is highly successful, and our clinic team will be there to support her every step of the way. Honey is ready for a loving home where she can heal, grow, and enjoy life with her new family. She's a sweet, happy girl just waiting for her second chance!
Ideal Home
Honey would thrive in a home where she has a consistent routine, plenty of exercise, and a family committed to helping her reach a healthier weight through proper nutrition and activity. She is a wonderful companion and would do best with someone who can help her stay active and feel her best.
Ongoing Health
Honey tested positive for Heartworm. The good news is that Heartworm treatment is highly successful, and our clinic team will be there to support her every step of the way. If you choose to adopt Honey, our medical staff will guide you through the entire treatment process, which typically lasts about three months and includes simple at-home care. A follow-up test is completed about six months after treatment begins to ensure full recovery. Heartworm is only transmitted through mosquitoes, and Honey is expected to make a full recovery. All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives.
