Meet Flora!

Flora's story began on a rooftop in Jarretaderas, abandoned with two other dogs and surviving only thanks to the Nayarit animal welfare officer who helped us reach them. She has been with us since June 2022 beautiful, smart, and full of energy but she is not the right match for just anyone.

Flora is a highdrive girl who thrives with structure, space, and an experienced owner who can guide her. She does well with most dogs but prefers to be the alpha, and the busy shelter environment overstimulates her. She is strong on leash, incredibly intelligent, and would flourish with training and a confident leader.

We will review your application and may contact you for more info or a home check.

Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.

It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels during May and June, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable.

We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border, this remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
