Luther is a sweet, silly, high-energy 1-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix who is ready to fill your home with love and laughter. This 55-pound pup has a playful spirit, floppy ears that bounce adorably, and a personality that will keep you smiling. He loves zoomies and snuggles, making him the perfect companion for both active days and relaxing evenings. Luther is affectionate, curious, smart, and playful, always ready to offer kisses and melt for belly scratches. He may be a little skittish with strangers at first, but he warms up quickly with gentle reassurance.
Ideal Home
Luther would thrive in an active home that can provide him with regular exercise and continued guidance. While a backyard would be a bonus for his zoomies, daily walks and playtime are just as important. He's adaptable and would do well in an apartment or a house. He doesn't mind being the only dog or having canine siblings, but he will always choose quality time with his humans. If you don't have other dogs, we'll want to discuss your plans for his socialization.

Training & Support
Luther is house-trained and crate-trained, settling in within a few minutes after an initial protest. He's learning that not everything is a toy and needs continued guidance when left unsupervised. While he walks well on leash with other dogs and is calm when meeting them, he can be somewhat barky when seeing them on walks. This is an area that can improve with continued training. He has met cats and ignored them, and he has been gentle and loving around children as young as 6 years old. Luther shows no resource guarding and is comfortable eating around other dogs or when hand-fed. He is still building confidence getting in and out of cars but settles nicely once inside with his bed.
