Meeka - Resilient Ball Player!

Meeka is a gorgeous, petite German Shepherd girl who weighs about 53lbs. She has incredibly soft fur and beautiful brown eyes. At 5-6 years old, she still has so much companionship to offer!

Meeka is an owner surrender from a family who had no time for her. She's been through a lot of changes, and when anxious, she tends to turn in circles and bark. This behavior is easily and quickly redirected by throwing a ball or giving her a stuffed animal. Most of the time, she is an exceptionally calm dog with low to medium energy, except when playing fetch, which is her absolute favorite activity! Recently, she had a blast playing soccer with some high school volunteers, proving she's a resilient ball player! She is sweet, friendly, and incredibly loyal, loving to stay close and cuddle on the couch. Meeka is also extremely gentle, even taking treats from fingers with the softest touch. She is wonderful and non-reactive with all other dogs. She walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides. We haven't tested her with cats, but she doesn't seem to have a strong prey drive, so she might do well with them with some gentle introduction.

Ideal Home

Meeka would love a home where she can share her love of fetch and cuddling. She is a gentle soul who enjoys companionship and would likely do well in a home that can provide her with opportunities for play and relaxation.

Ongoing Health

Meeka is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Meeka can become anxious and may bark or turn in circles. This is easily managed by redirecting her with a toy or a game of fetch. She is house-trained and does not require a crate. She enjoys being pampered and groomed.
