Smokey

Meet Smokey! He's a 2-year-old, 53-pound male Cane Corso/Weimaraner mix who came to us as a stray. Smokey is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and bursting with love to give! He's a smart, quick learner with a kind heart and an affectionate nature. Smokey is a bit of a couch potato who enjoys lounging and cuddling, but he also loves a good game of chase with his doggy friends. He walks wonderfully on a leash and is fully potty trained, always doing his business outside. Smokey is described as "kind-hearted" and "affectionate," ready to be a loyal companion.

Ideal Home

Smokey would do best in a home without cats. He is a bit shy around new people and would thrive in a low-traffic environment. Smokey also prefers not to be crated and would be happiest in a house rather than an apartment, especially if his humans work from home or are away for only a few hours at a time. He would also love a canine companion to play with.

Training & Support

Smokey can be a little nervous around strangers and may bark out of excitement, but he's easily redirected. He might pull slightly on the leash when initially excited, but he settles down quickly. Smokey experiences some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when left alone, though he doesn't cause damage and eventually stops. He prefers not to be shut in a crate.
