About WOLFIE > Bleeding Heart Society

Wolfie is a stunning approximately one-year-old boy who weighs 63 lbs and is described as having a very unique, coyote-like appearance. He is incredibly people-friendly, gets along well with children, and shows no reactivity towards cats or other dogs. This athletic and high-energy pup (an 8 out of 10) absolutely loves life, embracing joyful play and adventures. Wolfie is also a big softie who thrives on affection, eagerly giving and receiving kisses, hugs, and snuggles. He's a gentle soul, even when taking treats, and is surprisingly smart, already knowing how to "sit" on command despite spending much of his life in a kennel. His gorgeous looks are a definite conversation starter! Wolfie enjoys a good walk or adventure, is highly food-motivated, and, like many huskies, isn't a fan of being confined. He's fairly independent and has a knack for making people laugh. While he keeps his kennel clean, indicating he's not messy, he hasn't been house-trained or crate-trained yet, but with consistent structure, he's expected to learn quickly. Wolfie shows no signs of storm or separation anxiety. On walks, he's initially excited and curious about his surroundings but settles down and follows instructions, not being a strong puller once he's had a chance to sniff. He behaves well in the car and is always eager for a treat! Wolfie's prey drive is likely standard, as nothing unusual has been observed. He could improve by becoming familiar with living inside a home, which would be a new experience for him, but with a slow introduction, he's expected to adjust well. Wolfie has no known health concerns.

Ideal Home

Wolfie would thrive in an active environment with a family, or an individual or couple who enjoys activities like hiking. Someone eager to engage with him would be perfect.

Ongoing Health

Wolfie has no known health concerns.

Training & Support

Wolfie has never lived in a house, so he will need time and patience to adjust to indoor living. He will likely need guidance with house-training and crate-training, though he is expected to learn quickly with consistency.
