Meet Truffle - the total package. 🤎🐾 Truffle is a 3-year-old, neutered, under-60-pound pittie who we truly believe is the perfect all-around boy. Truffle has been with us for a year and we cannot understand why he is still waiting for his forever home! He came to us as a stray and when no one came to claim him, we got him ready for adoption. At first, he was a bit of a "wild child," full of energy, big personality, and needing guidance. But some dedicated staff members saw his potential right away, and with consistent work from staff, volunteers, and walkers, Truffle blossomed. He excelled in general obedience commands, polite leash walking, crate training, and is fully potty trained. We decided to give him an even bigger opportunity to shine by sending him to a local training and boarding facility for foster and continued structure. He excelled there too, building on his training, integrating into playgroups, and taking him on outings and adventures. He proved over and over again that he is an incredibly good, well-rounded dog. Next, he went to a traditional foster home where he once again excelled. In a home, Truffle is wonderful living with other dogs, fully house trained, crate trained, an easy and enjoyable walker, responsive to commands, and structured and happy. He has done everything we've asked of him and has risen to the occasion every time he's been given a chance. We truly cannot brag about this boy enough. He is smart, loving, structured, adaptable, and ready. It has been a long year of waiting. Let's make this the month Truffle finally goes home. Who's going to scoop up this absolute star?
