Ella

Ella is a sweet and playful girl, approximately 2 years old, who is a delightful mix of Border Collie and Mini Aussie. She was recently rescued and has brought so much joy into her foster home! Out of her kennel, Ella is a bundle of happy energy, absolutely loving her toys. She's also smart enough to know when it's time to relax, and after some playtime, she's happy to settle down near you with a chew toy or in her crate.

Ideal Home

Ella would thrive in an active home that can provide her with plenty of daily exercise. A fenced yard would be wonderful for her to enjoy games of fetch. Due to her breed and a tendency to get a little nippy when she wants to play (she'll gently grab at toys in your hands, trying to encourage play), we do not recommend her for very young children. She should do well with older children, aged 12 and up.

Ongoing Health

We have some wonderful news regarding Ella's health! After an initial positive test for heartworms, a retest confirmed she is negative. She will not require treatment, but will need monthly preventative medication and a follow-up test in a couple of months to be completely sure. Ella has also been spayed and received all her vaccinations.

Training & Support

Ella is working on her playful nipping, and with some consistent guidance, she'll surely master it. She takes treats very nicely and has shown no signs of food aggression. While she seems to be dog-neutral, she may offer a small warning if another dog gets too close in her face, so introductions should be supervised.
