ANGUS-Big Puppy

Meet Angus! He's a big, goofy puppy who's sure to bring lots of fun and energy into your life! Angus was found wandering near a creek with his mom, Gloria, and they were brought to the Hico Animal Shelter. Now vetted and ready for his forever home, Angus is a neutered male Bullmastiff mix puppy, around 6 months old and already over 60 lbs. He's still learning the ropes of being a good boy, which means he's a bit chaotic, enjoys chewing on things (including leashes!), and is still figuring out how to play nicely with other dogs due to his size. He's definitely too much for cats.

Ideal Home

An active household with older children would be a great fit for Angus. He would also thrive with a well-fenced yard where he can play and explore.

Ongoing Health

Angus is neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccines (including rabies and Bordetella), heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is also on flea/tick/heartworm and other parasite preventatives.

Training & Support

Angus is doggie door trained, but his housebreaking is still a work in progress. He's learning to walk on a leash and needs gentle guidance as he chews on it. He can be chaotic if not properly restrained in vehicles, so continued training and supervision will be key to helping him succeed.
