Georgey is an adorable, 11-month-old pup weighing approximately 32 lbs. We believe he's a mix of Australian kelpie and lab or catahoula, and he's likely reached his full adult size. He was born on a ranch in south Texas and came to us with his brother, Johnny. Georgey has been in foster care since March 2025 and is ready to find his forever family. He's a goofy, pleaser who loves to be accepted by other dogs and is more submissive than most. Georgey enjoys playing with his toys in the yard and is very relaxed and easy-going, making him a great fit for almost any household. He loves to be around his people and will follow you around, eager to please. While he gets a little jealous when other dogs are playing and he's kenneled, his sad whimpers usually get him out to join the fun. Tough toys are a must for Georgey, as he loves to shred them into many pieces! He gets along wonderfully with cats and kids, and truly loves all humans, strangers included.
Ideal Home
Georgey would thrive in a home with another dog or dogs to play with. He would also love a kiddo pool to splash in and enjoy walks to explore new surroundings. He'd be a great addition to most types of households.
Ongoing Health
Georgey is fixed, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and de-wormed. He is heartworm positive and has received the initial 30-day course of antibiotics. He will need to remain on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested afterward. He will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Georgey is a natural pleaser and eager to learn. Ensure you provide him with plenty of tough toys to satisfy his love for shredding!

Georgey is currently in Texas. He is available for transport to the Central US and East Coast. Transport stops include: Albany, NY; Wells, VT; Brattleboro, VT; Nashua, NH; Willington, CT; Stamford, CT; Dayville, CT; Steubenville, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Grove City, OH; Ridgefield, NJ; Mt Laurel, NJ; Emmitsburg, MD; Elkton, MD; Falls Church, VA; and Glenn Allen, VA. Transport to Grove City, PA and Washington, PA is currently on hold.
