Artie is a 3-year-old, spayed female Terrier mix who weighs around 32 pounds. She's a fun-loving, high-energy girl who is always ready for her next adventure, bringing enthusiasm and joy wherever she goes. Artie is incredibly smart, playful, and affectionate, and she absolutely loves people, greeting strangers with pure excitement and a wagging tail. She's independent, outgoing, curious, and wonderfully silly, ready to make you laugh daily, keep you moving, and then curl up beside you for snuggles.
Ideal Home
Artie thrives in an active environment and will do best with a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. A yard or open space to run would be a huge bonus. While she doesn't need another dog, she would likely enjoy a playful canine companion, and she has done well with large dogs (50-100 lbs) in her foster home, though slow introductions are important. She should continue to be crated when left alone as she is curious and can get into things on counters if unsupervised.

Training & Support
Artie is house-trained and crate-trained. She may whine a bit when crated but settles. On leash, she may bark or pull when she sees other dogs, so continued training will help her polish those manners. She can be a little on edge at first and is protective of her toys but backs off quickly and has never escalated beyond that. Her ideal home will be patient and ready to continue her training, especially helping her learn how to settle calmly and share toys more comfortably.

Transportation
Artie is currently located in San Antonio, Texas. Transportation out of state to an adopter is included in the adoption donation and runs every few weeks.
