Merlin

Merlin is an adorable Shepherd mix pup with big paws and an even bigger heart! This sweet, social, and playful boy is about 6½ months old and ready to find his forever family. He’s already crate trained, keeps his kennel clean, and is making great progress with potty training – he just needs continued consistency. Merlin is a smart cookie who already knows several commands and is very food motivated, which will be a great asset in his continued training journey.

Merlin absolutely loves kids and happily greets everyone he meets. He does great with other dogs and puppies when introduced properly and enjoys playtime with them. His behavior with cats is unknown, though he does show interest in chasing small wildlife like squirrels and birds. He walks nicely on a leash, handles bath time well, and enjoys toys, naps, cuddles, and giving kisses. Like many puppies, he may get overly excited and nip when he wants to play, but this is manageable with structure and consistent training. Merlin is a smart, loving, playful puppy who will thrive in a loving home. Anyone would be lucky to have him as part of their family!

Ideal Home

Merlin would thrive in a home that can provide structure and consistent training. He loves kids and enjoys the company of other dogs. His interaction with cats is unknown, but he does show prey drive towards small wildlife.

Ongoing Health

Merlin has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on all vaccinations, including bordatella and rabies. He has been heartworm tested and is on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.

Training & Support

Merlin is doing well with potty training and crate training, but consistency is key. He may nip when excited, but this can be managed with consistent training and structure. His food motivation will be a great asset for training!
