Bella

Hi, I'm Bella! I'm a sweet 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix who's looking for my forever family. While I may be a little shy and cautious around new people, especially men, I promise I'm worth the wait. I haven't had the best experiences in the past, so I need a patient and loving home where I can feel safe and learn to trust. I enjoy a good cuddle, especially when I initiate it, and I love to snuggle up under the covers for a nap – just please don't disturb me when I'm in my cozy spot! My foster parents say I act a bit like a cat, and while I'm unsure about cats, I might surprise you! I'm also curious about other dogs; I get along okay with my foster siblings, but sometimes I like to be the boss. I'm still working on potty training and leash walking, and I do struggle with resource guarding, so I'll need a family committed to my ongoing training. My favorite things are squeaky toys, but I'm not a fan of water or flies.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a patient and understanding family who can help me build confidence and trust. I'd do best in a home with no younger children. I'm unsure about cats, and my interactions with other dogs can vary, so a meet-and-greet would be important.

I am spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

I need extensive training, particularly with resource guarding. I am also still working on potty training and leash walking. A commitment to positive reinforcement and a consistent routine will help me succeed.
